Nick “Cosmo” Schudel is one of the play-by-play voices of the team this summer and a familiar voice to Mid-Missouri audiences. He and his wife, Kat, host the award-winning Cosmo + Kat Show weekday mornings from 5–10 on Heritage Y107.
Cosmo also serves as the longtime play-by-play voice for Columbia College Cougars baseball, soccer, and softball, and can also be heard on select high school television broadcasts on MC22 (Mediacom).
He’s no stranger to Liberty Park, having previously called games there from 1994–1998 on AM 1050 KSIS (as Nick Fredericks), including Smith Cotton Tigers baseball and State Fair Community College soccer.
A fun local connection: Cosmo’s grandfather once worked on the Pacific Railroad lines in Sedalia and now Cosmo will work with the Steamers.
Cosmo lives in Columbia with his wife, Kat. His daughter Emma graduated from Mizzou ‘25 and his son Cole is serving as an MP in the US Army.
